Walker and Watts Ltd is currently seeking a Site Manager to join our team in Scotland. In this key role, you will oversee and manage all site operations from project inception to final completion, serving as the primary point of contact for the client.


Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of site operatives, subcontractors, and construction work to ensure efficient and effective project delivery
  • Foster strong client relationships through regular meetings, progress updates, and ensuring client satisfaction at all stages of the project
  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety documentation, including Health and Safety Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments
  • Oversee the procurement of materials using established computer-based systems, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency

  • Direct Reports to project manager
  • Compliance
  • SHEQ


Qualifications and Experience

  • A relevant qualification (HNC, Degree, or equivalent) in Construction, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline but not essential.
  • CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification
  • Temporary Works Supervisor qualification
  • Proven background in the construction and electricity sectors, with hands-on experience in substation work
  • Competence in working with substations up to 132kV
  • Familiarity with NEC forms of contract and contractual frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of current Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • A full, valid UK driving license

Pay:  £42,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
