The Utilities Reinstatement Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and management of reinstatement projects within the UK utilities sector. This role is vital in ensuring that all reinstatement works are completed to a high standard, in compliance with relevant regulations, and within project timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the reinstatement of utility infrastructure projects, including roadworks, pavements, and landscaping.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all reinstatement works comply with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of reinstatement sites to assess quality and compliance with the National Joint Utilities Group (NJUG) guidelines and other relevant standards.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders regarding compliance and quality issues.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of reinstatement operatives and subcontractors.
- Facilitate training and development opportunities for team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and local authorities regarding reinstatement matters.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to manage expectations and resolve issues.
- Prepare and present reports on project status, challenges, and achievements.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Oversee the allocation of resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment for reinstatement projects.
- Monitor project expenditure and implement cost-control measures to ensure adherence to budget.
